The move has been very positive and I have been pleased with my decision. I am making many new friends, the food is a very balanced diet, everyone is very friendly and helpful and call you by your name almost immediately. There has been something to do continually as far as entertainment. Yes, I know I am happy and pleased with my new home.

The staff seemed very nice and really familiar with the needs of the residents there. The pool area was nice, the dining area was sufficient enough to handle the volume of people there.
My husband and I moved to Carillon Senior Living in 2012, and we are celebrating our 10th year with wonderful staff and residents. There are many amenities we enjoy here, but the amenities are secondary to the positive spirit of this campus. Even during the stressful times of COVID-19, outstanding leadership and community spirit prevailed. Lubbock has been our home for 40 yrs, and we love it. Carillon’s vibrancy is definitely a bonus for our senior years. Nursing Homes can be an expensive senior care option, so cost is typically going to be a consideration when looking at alternatives.

Thanks you so much for your professional care and service during my recent stay after knee replacement surgery. I’d really like to thank the nursing staff and aides, with a big shout out to the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Departments. Your staff was very professional, dedicated, caring and kind, and very attentive to the patients. They saw their work as a ministry, not just a job. I am grateful for everything and I feel I owe it to all staff at Carillon. I’m off to a good start and coming along nicely.
A complaint is a problem that has been reported by residents, their families, and nursing home staff. An incident is a negative occurrence reported by a staff member of the nursing home. Sometimes, complaints can lead to enforcement actions if it is determined that a facility is breaking the rules. A Special Focus Facility is a nursing home that have a recent track record of continued poor quality of care, as indicated by the findings of state or Federal inspection teams. Using inspection results from the most recent 3 year time period, CMS names the nursing homes with the worst repeated inspection results as Special Focus Facilities.
Carillon Senior Living
I guess this is because it's hard for older people to go very far to smoke, but it does mean that you have to pass it in order to enter the building. Overall, our experience at Carillon was a good one and I would chose it again if we ever needed to place a loved one in an assisted-living facility. My dad is living in Carillon House for skilled nursing. I like the fact that they've been able to respond to his medical needs. He's been in the hospital several times while living there, and they get him in and out. They put him back in skilled nursing so I didn't have to move him again.
We are paid by our participating communities, therefore our service is offered at no charge to families. Carillon has served the Lubbock community for over 40 years. We offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, Long-Term and Skilled Nursing care. Best of all, Carillon is home to some of Lubbock’s most cherished and respected citizens, many of whom helped build Lubbock into the thriving community it is today. They include administrators and teachers, farmers and ranchers, Texas Tech professors and employees, physicians and nurses, and representatives from all eras of Lubbock’s rich heritage.

The staff was top notch and on almost every occasion provided a pleasant visiting experience for bot me and my family members. My grandfather also never had any complaints towards the staff. There was only one employee who rubbed us the wrong way and after a request we no longer had any dealings with him.. This facility provided a comfortable way to help my grandfather with hiss remaining time while also making life much easier on his wife and our entire family.
A resident already living here told us that he had investigated similar communities elsewhere and had not found anything elsewhere comparable in price, facilities, or service. Since then, at least two newer couples describe the same experience after having searched and visited all over the United States. At 86, our hope is to continue together in our independent living apartment. If either of should need assisted living or nursing/memory care, we are so glad that Carillon''s continuum of care will keep us on the same campus together at below-market cost.
They can also accommodate seniors who are severely infirmed and need assistance with daily activities and who must have frequent access to healthcare services. In addition, they can service seniors who are at early to late stages of memory loss and who need close support and care for their own security. Lastly, they can support seniors who need assistance with day-to-day activities but who desire to retain their independence to some level. The carillon nursing home facility would get my recommendation to anyone, it is a very clean and well kept community. The garden and yard areas were very pretty and provided a nice change of scenery for the residents to visit, giving them a quiet place outside of their room.
They still take people to doctors' appointments and individual shopping experiences, but nothing in a group yet because of COVID. On the first day, I called hospice in because they have a hospice in that building also. The rooms are nice -- about the size of a regular hospital room. They are carpeted and painted, and you can supply your furniture. They have all levels of care; you can start with assisted living and go all the way to hospice at the same facility. They have bible study, bingo, singing, exercise class, and church services.
This is by far the best nursing home in town today!! The staff are very professional and provide the best care possible. Please note that the pricing above is the average billed to Medicare. (Supplemental Insurance / Medicare Advantage Plans, single or double rooms, etc).
